Local Burger is a fun, modern, and casual restaurant that serves up tasty “junk food” style burgers, fries, assorted sides, classic meals, and milkshakes. The waitstaff is friendly and they use tablets to take orders – keeps everything easy and organized which I like. If you’re local, be sure to take advantage of their late-night munch menu. They prepare and deliver a mini menu of food items including chicken fingers, fries, grilled cheese, shakes, and more after hours to satisfy your late-night cravings.
I usually order The Local burger with a side of regular cheese fries if I’m extra hungry. (The Cinnamon & Sugar Sweet Potato Fries are my second go-to side option.) I also love their grilled cheese – it is perfect, simple, and exactly what you imagine when you order a traditional grilled cheese. (I got it with bacon once and they LOADED it, so if you like bacon, try it that way.) Finally, the fountain sodas they have there are made with real Sugar(made in mexico), so if you want to try soda with a twist, I suggest you order a soda there. But, one burger I would not recommend is the peanut butter bacon burger. The peanut butter is very chunky and nutty, but there’re no flavor in the butter, and it just makes the burger very thick and hard to swallow. Also, a appetizer I wouldn’t recommend is the fried mac and cheese balls. They load the balls with a over flavorful shell, making it super salty and just makes it tastes bad in general.
I would not recommend going to Local Burger if you are expecting a specialty gourmet style burger. Local burgers are their own category of burgers. They are extremely tasty and really hit the spot if you are in the mood for them, but can’t be compared to your favorite butcher-quality burger joint. If that sounds on par with what you are looking for today, then you won’t be disappointed because it really is a locale favorite! 🙂
